We're moving and we need your help

Your help is the key to how we fire up the new, more expansive EVLovesNYC. More meals! More support for asylum seekers! More distributions around the city! Please help us with a donation.

After months of searching, we've finally landed a new kitchen (and maybe two!) to better fit our growing organization.

In July we will start cooking at 116 West Houston Street, where Rethink Food has kindly offered us Sunday use of their shiny, state-of-the-art industrial kitchen. More news: We're also in talks for a weekday kitchen that will allow us to continue making meals Monday-Friday and host corporate volunteer events.

Finally we can increase our meal count to address the ever-increasing need for food in NYC. We will continue to work with all our regular distribution partners and OF COURSE we'll still be in the East Village, giving away meals and keeping things lively. Best of all, new space offers us the chance to scale up and serve more New Yorkers.

The dual move came about much more suddenly than we anticipated. To scale up, we urgently need to raise at least $40,000.

• $7,000 for the actual moving, to get our stuff from Point A to Points B + C
• $9,000 to upgrade and certify some equipment for the second kitchen on the Lower East SIde
• $20,000 to buy ingredients to make extra meals in the next month (We now have the capacity to double our meal production!)
• $4,000 for a cargo tricycle to ferry boxes of food around the city (and share ridiculous EVLovesNYC joy)
