every year for my birthday, I launch a campaign to fundraise for an organization that means something to me. Those of you who know me know that dan and I have been volunteering every Sunday with EVLovesNYC for almost two years now fighting food insecurity across the city and providing support for those who need it when the city abandons them *glares in the direction of Eric Adams*
If you have an extra dollar, five, ten, whatever you can spare this holiday season, I can promise you, it all goes directly back into the community. Unlike some larger non-profits, it’s hard to know how your donation is actually being used. Here at EVLoves, I can actually name the people who benefit from your generosity. Dan and I, along with our volunteers at the Sunday distros in the east village, put the meals that your donation sponsors directly into the hands of our communities.
